My clients are typically market research agencies, consultation teams at local authorities, insights teams within large organisations, housing associations, and academic researchers.

Most of the work is from online and CATI (telephone) surveys, as well as in-depth telephone and face to face interviews. Typically my clients conduct these in-house and subsequently handle any closed data themselves, leaving the qualitative comments to me, though more often I am being asked to provide the data processing and analysis too.

All of my clients afford me repeat work.

I believe this is because:

They appreciate the conscientiousness and integrity with which I work. I take the time to read and understand the questions asked as well as the overall survey objectives, essential to building sensible and relevant code frames.

I can adapt the code frames to focus on specific themes, or on responses from stakeholders for example; comments which are pertinent to the context of the research. This is often the case for local authority and academic work where the comment analysis needs to stand up to scrutiny and even potential legal challenges.

Some of the work I do is of a highly sensitive nature, often evoking very emotive responses. I ensure these participants' comments are sufficiently captured within the code labels, highlighting any I feel the client may want to read or follow up. Conversely, if 'the chips were crunchy', then the chips were crunchy, with no need for more detail.

I provide a flexible service - think of the 'Elves and the Shoemaker' - it's not unusual for me to receive a file on a Friday afternoon for delivery the following Monday morning; happy to work evenings and weekends to accommodate deadlines.

My clients are comfortable with me working on projects for their clients, they know the work and data they outsource to me is kept confidential. I am not in the game of poaching

Being entirely independent from the projects, I code without any bias.

Upfront pricing, on a 'per 100 words' or per variable basis, meaning clients know how much a job is going to cost before they send the work. The only times the costs increase is if there is a larger than quoted for sample size, or additional questions. Costs can also decrease, since I always pass any savings back to the client should I complete the work in significantly less time than priced for. I provide an honest service.

With all of the above and because (perhaps unusually) I really enjoy coding, I believe I deliver nothing but a first class service.
